H is for Heart -- I've been dragging my feet all day mulling over today's topic & I'm late... Nothing would come to mind. The other thing I've been dragging my feet about all day, is tonight I had to go to CPR training. I don't like to go, it sort of gives me the willies & I
hope I never
have to use it. As a Girl Scout leader, I'm required to be certified though, so off we went, at least I got to go with my other scout leaders! Next week we go again for First Aid, but that is less stressful to me.
(Sure, now my family sees me blogging and they are full of
H ideas... they can stop shouting them out anytime now...)
I'm getting better at going to these, I'd been certified in
high school, college, then a long gap.
Nearly 14 years ago my Dad died of a heart attack, he was on his way to my house to visit. The first time after that CPR class wrecked me, the subject matter was a little too close for comfort. This may be an uncomfortable topic for some of you as well, I'm sorry if it is.
Let's put another spin on it and think instead about
heart
health, and do what we can to keep ourselves as
healthy as we can!
Health & wellness are my wishes for you :-)
Today could have easily been about my
Horse (but that also felt sad, I had to put him down 3 yrs ago) or
Harvey, my Jack Russell Terrier who just had his 10th birthday on the 6th
ah, such a
half-
hearted post, and the kid is still
hollaring
H words!
