Y is for Yellow

Y is for Yellow. Bright, sunny, happy yellow! Ever notice how many of the early spring blooms are yellow? I wonder why that is? The yellows sure do brighten up the drab browns and grey as winter fades away. The first yellows I see are a neat little flower that grows beside the road, they resemble dandelions, but not quite the same, forsythia, daffodils, yellow pansies.

In my corner of the world it is now beginning to look more green, the grasses are growing, tree buds are out, many of them a fantastic red color before they actually open and unfurl their leaves. The pussy willows are opening, and the pussy cats gone until next year.

The other "Y" I considered was "yet" -- in my reflection, I think I should use this word less, as it often comes in the form of not yet, generally spoken to my children - I need to fix this before they are no longer children.
